- Graduate Research: Implementing a hybrid data-parallel and task-parallel schema for large-scale simulations in high performance Python in order to facilitate the conversion of the Individual-Based Stream Trout Research and Environmental Assessment Model (inSTREAM) from a serial to parallel computing paradigm.

- Developed a method of feature selection for high-dimensional time series forecasting with neural networks investigating atmosphere-biosphere interactions using optical-flux data for the EcoSpec Project.
- Designed, developed, and implemented a spatially explicit individual-based modeling framework for the evaluation of cumulative impacts of prospective wind energy generation on the population sustainability of the greater sage-grouse in Wyoming.
